Warning:
In the case of AC coils, the current consumption in the impact phase is significantly higher than in the hold phase. These must therefore never be operated without a magnetic core, as there is a risk of overheating and burnout of the coil. A similar effect occurs when valves with AC solenoids are operated at very high cycle frequencies (on/off). This means that the coils are often located in an area of high power consumption and can also overheat. For these applications, the use of RC coils with rectifier connectors is recommended. For DC coils, very high voltage spikes can occur during the shutdown procedure. We therefore recommend the use of plugs with a protective connection for these coils. A rectifier is integrated in the 230 VAC coil.
